On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan spoke to Ollie O’Flaherty who is a member of the West Coast Surf Club and Angela Garnell who is a member of the Spanish Point Community Group. The pair discussed their delight with being included in the shortlist for the Clean Coast Ocean Hero Awards. Spanish Point Community Group are in the running for the Group of the Year Award, while West Coast Surf Club have been shortlisted for the Youth of the Year Award. The awards are set to take place in person on Tuesday 22nd of November.
