Clare Childcare Providers Disappointed With Taoiseach’s Comments Over Protest

A Clare Childcare Provider has described the Taosieach’s response to the sectors nationwide protest as extremely disappointing.

The FECP claim that 97 centres have been forced into closure this year due to deficits in government funding, prompting a rally in which members either marched on Leinster House or suspended their services for three days.

While acknowledging challenges facing the industry, Leo Varadkar stated this week that the action was ‘unwarranted and a great inconvenience to parents’.
