It’s claimed the safety of local communities in Clare is under imminent threat due to government inaction.
It follows a road traffic collision in Lisdoonvarna yesterday, in which the services of on call first responders from Ennistymon Fire Station were required to cut a bus driver from his vehicle, after it collided with a wall.
Ennistymon and Shannon Fire Stations are among 100 closed today, as part of nationwide industrial action from crew members aiming to secure improved pay & working conditions.
Former retained firefighter & Lahinch based Green Party Councillor, Liam Grant has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that the government will cause public outcry unless immediate action is taken to resolve the dispute.
