Claims Clare Has Potential To ‘Step Up’ And Ensure Gender Diversity In Politics

The Clare-based CEO of the See Her Elected Group insists this county has the potential to ‘step up’ and ensure gender diversity in politics.

It comes as disappointment has been expressed after it was revealed Clare County Council did not apply for funding to tackle diversity imbalance in local elections in 2022.

The local authority did apply in both 2020 and 2021, and it’s understood they are currently considering submitting an application under the 2023 call.
