Claims Clare Jobs Could Be At Risk Over New Alcohol Regulations

A report looking at the impact of new laws on the regulation of alcohol, claims thousands of jobs in Clare could be at risk.

The report claims that Minimum Unit Pricing, as well as new rule on labeling, advertising and retailing could cost jobs in the pub and hospitality sectors.

The measures are being introduced to curb problem drinking, but the report commissioned by the the Alcohol Beverage Federation of Ireland claims they won’t necessarily achieve this.
