Two Clare players are in the running to be named as the PwC GPA Camogie Premier Junior Player of the Year.
Ellen Casey of Newmarket on Fergus and Kilmaley’s Caoimhe Cahill are part of the three person shortlist, in recognition of their efforts in helping Clare secure the All Ireland Premier Junior title this year.
It saw Clare bridge a 15 year gap since their last title at the grade, with Cahill scoring a crucial goal in the decider and being named player of the game, while Casey was ultra consistent in defence throughout the year.
Tipperary’s Jean Kelly is nominated alongside the Banner duo for the award.
The 2023 PwC Soaring Stars and Manager of the Year winners will be announced on Monday, 25th September.
