The man who captained St Joseph’s Tulla to a first Harty Cup title says the squad always had the belief that they were capable of claiming the famous trophy.

The East Clare side edged out five time champions Ardscoil Ris to become the third Clare school to win the title, and the first outside of St Flannan’s in 60 years.

The 0-17 to 0-14 win also sees them through to the semi final of the All Ireland series, with details of that to be confirmed in the coming days.
