Clare manager John Carmody is hailing their All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie final victory as their greatest day in sport.

Victory over Tipperary in Croke Park saw the Banner collect the Kay Mills Cup as goals from Sarah Loughnane, Caoimhe Cahill and Laoise O’Donnell were central to a four point win.

It completed a double of National League and All Ireland honours for the group in 2023, with a junior panel having been formed just seven years ago.

Carmody says the manner in which they battled back from a slow start shows the character in the squad.

Meanwhile captain Sinead O’Keeffe says it was a dream moment to hear the full time whistle confirm their status as All Ireland champions.

The Kilmaley clubwoman feels it was the culmination of a long road with plenty hard work along the way.
