Calls For Urgent Removal Of Barriers To Addiction Treatment Services In Clare

Calls have been made for a low threshold detox centre in Clare.

The county’s Sinn Féin Councillor has raised concern over a rapid inflitration of illegals substances throughout local communities, with the number of people treated for cocaine use in Ireland up 170% in the last decade.

In 2021, the Community Healthcare Organisation area of Clare, Limerick & North Tipperary had the largest waiting list for drug detox beds nationwide.
