Calls have been made for a comprehensive transport plan to be put in place in Clare as part of efforts to boost tourism number and Clare Bus.

Corofin Fianna Fail Councillor Joe Killeen has put forward a motion, calling on Clare County Council to integrate with other service providers, including Clare Bus, to extend routes to popular tourist sites.

The NTA has put a number of Clare Bus’ routes out to tender, but in responding to this call the Council has said that it provides a valuable service and that any extension would be welcomed.
