The Ennis based Vice-Chair of Retail Excellence insists rules requiring close contacts of confirmed cases of Covid-19 to restrict their movements for up to ten days, have had a severe impact on the retail sector.
It comes as many businesses cannot roster enough staff to open.
The largest representative body for the retail industry in Ireland has called on the Government to change the current rules.
