Tipperary’s Seamus Callanan has confirmed he is unlikely to feature for the Premier in the opening two rounds of the Munster hurling championship.

It means the four time All Star will miss out on the clash with Clare on April 24th in Semple Stadium, along with Tipperary’s opening round the previous week against Waterford.

The Drom and Inch clubman suffered a broken bone in his hand 3 weeks ago, but is hopeful of being fit enough to feature in the closing games of the round robin series.
