Busy Day Of Club Hurling Championship In Store

There are four games down for decision today in the opening round of the Clare senior hurling championship.

Cusack Park and O’Garney Park in Sixmilebridge both play host to double headers.

The first game of the day sees last year’s intermediate champions Scariff take on Wolfe Tones in Sixmilebridge.

That one has a 1.30pm start at O’Garney Park.

The second game in Sixmilebridge this evening sees Eire Óg take on Newmarket from 4.30pm.

The opening game in Cusack Park sees a repeat of the 2014 final where Crusheen will look to turn the tables on Cratloe.

That one has a 4.30pm throw in.

It is followed by a repeat of the 2019 Clare Cup final as neighbours Kilmaley and Inagh-Kilnamona square off in what promises to be one of the games of the weekend.

Throw in there is at 7pm with live commentary on Clare FM in association with Ennis Home Furniture, Quin Road Business Park Ennis.

The 2021 Clare Intermediate hurling championship gets underway today.

Parteen and Corofin are first in action as they clash in Shannon from 2.30pm.

Last year’s beaten finalists Tubber start their campaign when they meet Killanena in Corofin from 6pm.

The final game of the day sees Clarecastle face Ruan at the Eire Og grounds from 7pm
