Busy Day Of Action In Clare SHC

It is a busy day in the Clare senior hurling championship with 7 games down for decision in the race for the Canon Hamilton.

There are two games set to throw in at 2pm, with Shannon hosting the meeting of Ballyea and Inagh-Kilnamona in a repeat of the 2021 final.

Combo manager Louis Mulqueen says while they will be down some key players, he’s confident other players will step into the breach.

The other game underway today at 2pm sees Crusheen taking on Sixmilebridge in Clarecastle.

The second game in Clarecastle will be the clash of Kilmaley and St Joseph’s at 3.45pm.

There’s a 4pm start in Newmarket, as last year’s beaten finalists Eire Og go up against Feakle.

Townies boss Mattie Shannon says their sole focus is on getting the year off to a positive start.

Sixmilebridge hosts the showdown of near neighbours Clonlara and O’Callaghan’s Mills at 5pm, with Clooney-Quin and Wolfe Tones going head to head in Cusack Park at 6pm.

The last game of the day is the meeting of Clarecastle and Broadford who have a 7pm start in Sixmilebridge.
