Blackshore Writer Claims Clare’s Picturesque Landscape Is Perfect For Film And TV Productions

The writer of a new TV series being filmed in South East Clare believes this county has the perfect landscape for future big budget films and tv shows.

Blackshore, a six-episode series, written by Kate O’Riordan tells the story of an investigating detective that returns to her home town to solve a mysterious disappearance.

The RTE Drama, based in the Killaloe, hit television screens last Sunday and puts the picturesque town and the local businesses and people in front of the camera.

She believes Killaloe can be as iconic for Backshore as Moy House in Lahinch was for her last show, Smother.
