Water users are being warned about a potentially dangerous sting from a fish on Clare beaches.

With crowds flocking to Lahinch to enjoy the warm weather, an unwelcome visitor is making their presence known in the water.

The weever fish have been descending on local coasts in recent days and can pack a painful sting that requires immediate attention to prevent serious swelling or further injury.
