Ballyea are in action on Sunday afternoon in the Munster club hurling quarter final.

The three time Clare champions take on eight in a row Waterford champions Ballygunner, with the game set to be staged in Cusack Park.

These sides last met in the 2018 semi final, with Ballygunner coming out on top after an epic battle that went all the way to extra time.

Ballygunner haven’t had a competitive fixture since winning their 20th title at the start of October, and Clare FM analyst Tommy Guilfoyle feels that layoff could give a slight edge to Ballyea.
