Around One Quarter Of Those Eligible Availed Of Second Covid Booster

Around a quarter of all those over the age 12 have availed of their second Covid-19 booster.

The latest figures from the CSO show rates in the West and North Clare local electoral areas reached 26% in March, compared to 25% in Ennis and 24% in the Shannon and Killaloe areas.

22% of 5 to 11 year old’s in the Killaloe area have received their primary dose of the jab, with the Ennis and Shannon areas following closely behind on 21%.

However rates in the North and West remain low, with 13% of those eligible in the Ennistymon and Kilrush electoral areas getting their first dose.
