Appeal For Information Following Fatal Bunratty Crash

Gardaí are appealing for information following the latest fatality on Clare’s roads.

A 50-year-old cyclist lost his life following a collision near Bunratty at around noon yesterday.

The man’s bike collided with a camper van on the N18 main Limerick to Galway Road near Bunratty yesterday morning.

He was transferred to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man is the fourth Clare person in three days to lose his life on the roads.

In the early hours of Friday morning, Parteen native Paul Hannon lost his life in a collision which occured while he was cycling in Dublin 8.

Meanwhile, tributes are being paid to teenagers Gary Kelly and Delia Keary who lost their lives following a head on collision in Co. Limerick on Friday evening.
