Almost 40% Of Clare Hotels Being Used To Accomodate Refugees And Asylum Seekers

Clare has the highest percentage of hotels being used to accommodate refugees and asylum seekers in Munster.

39% per cent of hotels in the Banner county are now being used to accommodate asylum-seekers and refugees.

There are currently 3,890 Ukrainian refugees being housed in hotels in Clare in addition to 560 international protection applicants.

18,524 Ukrainian refugees are now based in Munster, as statistics show there are just over 21% of them in the Banner, with a total of 3,890 here.

Kerry has the next highest percentage of hotels being used to accommodate refugees and asylum seekers with 37%, while Tipperary and Cork follow closely with 33% and 27% of hotels in use respectively.
