Advantage Avenue In Race For Clare Premier Division Title

Newmarket Celtic have lost ground in their pursuit of Premier Division leaders Avenue United.

Paddy Purcell’s side were held to a 3-3 draw against Kilrush Rangers, while Avenue put three more points on the board with a 5-1 victory over Lifford.

It leaves Newmarket nine points off the top spot, but with three games still in hand on their title rivals.
