96 On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to spiral.

The latest INMO figures show there were 96 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with 63 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s the third highest number ever recorded at any hospital in the country, with the national record broken by the Dooradoyle facility only last month.
