Over 500 Children Awaiting Needs Assessments In The MidWest

A Clare TD has lambasted the HSE over mounting waiting lists for needs assessments in the MidWest region.

It comes as new figures released by the Department of Health show 501 children in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary are waiting for such an appointment.

In order to address the backlog, the HSE has committed to recruiting four more personnel on the Midwest Assessment of Needs pathway team, but to date just two of these positions have been filled.
