5 New cases of COVID-19 in Clare; 631 Nationally

Five new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Clare according to the latest figures released by the National Public Health Emergency Team.

They are among the 631 new cases of the virus registered in Ireland, with 247 of those in Dublin alone.

47 additional deaths have also been announced, 14 of these deaths occurred in March, 18 occurred in February and 15 occurred in January.

The total death toll in the Republic now stands at 4,499.

The median age of those who died was 83 years and the age range was 60 – 95 years.
