29 On Trolleys At UHL; Highest Level Since Early March

Hospital trolleys

The number of patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick has reached its highest level in nearly two months.

The INMO’s Daily Trolleywatch statistics show a total of 29 patients awaiting treatment at Dooradoyle today – all of them are in the hospital’s Emergency Department.

That’s more than half of the overall national total of 56, and is the highest number recorded at University Hospital Limerick since March 6th, and the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.

The total number is still significantly lower than levels recorded prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 here.
