25% Of Patients Waiting For Beds Nationwide On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

Nurses say a quarter of all those waiting for beds at Irish hospitals this morning were on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 70 patients were without a bed at the region’s main hospital during morning rounds, 26 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 33 more than the next busiest facility; Tallagh University Hospital.
