Sharon Barrington
Welcome to this week’s episode of Clare Women in Business on Clare FM.
Sharon Barrington was born and reared in Cree in West Clare.
She was educated locally in Clohanbeg National School and later in Spanish Point.
After completing her secondary education Sharon went onto college in Tralee where completed a construction studies course. She spent a time designing houses and did some interior design also.
Back in Cree, her parents had their own plastic recycling business. Her dad was a silage contractor and later built balers to crush cars before further developing the business and travelled all over Ireland baling plastic for recycling.
This was the foundation for an enterprise she would start after retuning to the family business.
Sharon Barrington is General Manager of IFF Plastics Limited based near Cree in West Clare.
