Pauline Dunleavy is from Moyasta in West Clare.

After finishing secondary school she attended a commercial course in Kilkee which she says she was blessed to have done.

She worked for ten years as a Dáil secretary for former TD Madeleine Taylor-Quinn but found that she worked alone a lot.

Pauline always believed that the commercial she had taken stood to her in that job but setting up her own business was far from her thoughts at the time.

She also volunteered with the Kilrush RNLI lifeboat and by the time she retired, she had reached the position of Lifeboat Operations Manager. She did all this while running her own business.

Pauline Dunleavy is an artist and teacher and owner if Anchor Crafts in Kilrush, and celebrated 25 years in business this year.
