Niamh Baker
Welcome to this week’s episode of Clare Women in Business on Clare FM.
Niamh Baker was born in London.
Her dad is originally from West Clare but moved to England to work for a number of years. He returned to Clare settling in Tubber where the family took on a farm.
Niamh was still very young but she remembers working on the farm with her dad while she attended primary school in Tubber and later, St Flannan’s College in Ennis.
She studied commerce and German in college but had also been working part-time since she was in secondary school.
Niamh worked extensively in the media industry and during the pandemic returned to Tubber to work from home. It was during this time that her dad acquired a former pub.
Niamh Baker is now co-owner of the Burren Inn in Tubber.
