Brigid Rynne
Welcome to this week’s episode of Clare Women in Business on Clare FM.
Brigid Rynne was born in Portsmouth in the South of England but moved to London at the age of 18.
She was always creative and loved art.
Brigid’s Godmother was the well-known designer Belinda Belville who was the business partner of the equally acknowledged artist and designer David Sassoon. Together they ran Belville Sassoon and dressed the late Diana Princess of Wales for many years.
Belinda asked Brigid to work with her company as a showroom junior -which she loved – and after leaving that post, took on a wide variety of roles amassing multiple skills which she put to good use when she started her own business.
Working as hard as she did in London, she never imagined she’d have her own business but is founder and owner of Sew Irish – Wild Ireland Haberdashery based in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare.
