Richard Manson is a Masters Student of Civil Engineering at NUI Galway and a member of FEE – Free Education for Everyone. The Cratloe student discussed the role of the group and how they hope to lobby against the introduction of student fees, which he says is unfair on those trying to educate themselves and unfair on parents who are already struggling to make ends meet. Also speaking to Gavin on The Today Show was Brian Grant, a Welfare Officer with the NUI Galway Students Union.
Brian deals with students on a daily basis who need financial assistance to continue their studies. 

Clare FM’s Dermot Hogan was out and about the county asking people whether they have ever lied to get a job?  It follows news that more and more businesses are using lie detector tests when conducting interviews for new staff. According to reports, cash-in-transit companies, pharmaceutical giants and even creche owners make up the bulk of Irish businesses which are turning to pre-employment polygraph testing to ensure candidates are honest and trustworthy!

Gearoid Mannion of Tom Mannion Travel Worldchoice in Ennis joined Gavin for his weekly travel feature; this week Gearoid advised on Valentine destinations ahead of the event next Tuesday 14th February. He discussed Barcelona, Paris, Venice and of course the home of Romeo and Juliet – Verona.

Clodagh Lawlor is a 16 year old singer from Newmarket on Fergus who has become one of the final 24 contestants chosen from the Youtube round on this years Britain’s Got Talent show and has the honour of being the only Irish contestant.  Clodagh has been singing since she was 6 years old, but now that she’s 16 she’s getting serious about pursuing her dream. Simon Grehan spoke to Gavin Grace about internet safety as today has been designated Safer Internet Day. Simon is the Internet Safety Co-ordinator with the National Centre for Technology in Education. We’re being encourage to get more involved with our children’s online activities to make sure they stay safe online.
