Deana Crowe and Eda Kiely are both from Meelick and are students at Ard Scoil Mhuire, Corbally. They spoke to Máire about their involvement in Noah’s Flood. As part of the Limerick City of Culture 2014 celebration, St. Mary’s Cathedral, will feature a new production of Benjamin Britten’s classic opera Noye’s Fludde (Noah’s Flood). There’ll be six performances from 28th March to 1st April 2014. The opera follows the biblical tale of Noah and his family and their quest to save every creature on the planet before the great flood descends. Based on the text of an early 15th Century play, the musical drama is brilliantly scored for adult and young voices and the girls are really excited about their roles. Allen Flynn of the Ennis Players and Director of Calendar Girls also joined the show to remind listeners to get their tickets quickly if they want to see the show.
