On today’s Afternoon Show Bob Golden from DLTC Language School in Dun Laoighaire joined Máire to tell Clare listeners about how the school is running a summer language school that's going to be based at Spanish Point this July and are looking for families in or near the Spanish Point/Miltown Malbay areas who have a spare room and who would like to host a student or two and earn something extra for the summer in the process. The students are from Europe and teenagers so it's a great opportunity for families in the area, particularly ones with kids of their own, to have a new experience and get a bit of extra income for the house. Also on today’s programme a very special guest – Luan Parle, Singer and Songwriter extraordinaire, joined Máire in studio! Luan, from Kildare, is a meteor award winner (best female artist) and Tatler’s woman of the year. She has released 3 solo albums and featured on numerous Irish compilations. She has been in Clare delivering song-writing workshops and joined us for a chat about her career, the music industry and for a song! Today she sang her classic – Free and also some new material – Losing My Mind.
