Prannie Rhatigan is a Doctor and Author of “Irish Seaweed Kitchen”. She joined Máire on the show to talk about seaweed – the super food. A native of Sligo, Prannie is a medical doctor with a lifetime experience of harvesting, cooking and gardening organically with sea vegetables. Her book, “Irish Seaweed Kitchen”, has become the ultimate bible for cooking with sea vegetables. Prannie will demonstrate her cooking techniques and discuss her recent work exploring the links between genetics, the environment and the benefits of live foods on enhancing health and well-being. Dermot Sheedy is a Bodhran player with the band Hermitage Green and hails from Darragh, Ennis. Dermot and the band are playing their first Ennis gig on Saturday night in Glor. The band recently released their first album – Live at Whelan’s – to great acclaim last November, and have just returned from a tour in Vancouver and the Czech Republic.
