MORNING FOCUS WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 19TH 

John Kerin  Chief Superintendent  of the Clare Garda Division joined John this morning for a wide ranging interview.  Chief Superintendent Kerin  responded to the recent Garda Inspectorate Report which revealed systemic failures in An Garda Siochana including long delays in recording crime, inaccurate classification of crime, minimal training for Gardai and Detectives, problems with the Pulse System, problems with Gardai Attitudes towards Victims of Domestic Violence. Also The Chief Superintendent addressed the issue of Garda Resources in Clare – which will soon see opening hours scaled back at the Ennistymon and Killaloe Garda Stations – Currently operating 24 Hours a Day the former District Garda Headquarters have already lost their Superintendents and, from December 1st, will open for just 6 hours each day Monday to Friday and 3 Hours on weekends.

Well Known TV and Radio broadcaster Bobby Kerr is hosting and event focusing on the issues that affect people with disabilities in Clare tonight in the West County Hotel. The event will look at different aspects of disabilities such as inclusion building access and other obstacles which can hamper those with disabilities living a full life.  Bobby spoke with John ahead of the event.

Gardaí were called to the scene of anti water charges protest in Killaloe this morning.It's understood water meter instillators were refused entry to Clarisford Estate by up to 15 demonstrators.  A number of Gardaí attended – however the protest is understood to have been peaceful. One of the protesters Maurice Walsh outlined his reasons for the protests with John.

Brendan Grace  was live in studio to discuss his life and career and indeed Roy Keane with John. Considered The greatest family comedian of our generation Brendan is celebrating 40 years in the Comedy business and most of this time at the very top of his profession.. Brendan's latest show features some brand new material and some 'Old Favourites' from his vast repertoire over the last 40 years.  Brendan plays the Auburn Lodge in Ennis on the 27th of December

Finally ss always on a Wednesday our resident vet John Underhill was in studio to answer your animal welfare questions.  On today’s show John focused on foot issues in animals.
