Adam Coleman of Silicon Village, Lahinch – has created an Initiative for the County Clare area – Promoting the idea that Clare and the West of Ireland does not only offer Tourism opportunities but can be a hub for technology – serving people abroad or in Dublin that wish to move home. The Silicon village is a loose group made up of techies and business techies that are based in and around Lahinch or have an affinity with Lahinch. With all of the hype around the “WWW”……not the world wide web, we thought it was time to introduce Lahinch as the Silicon Village and to start encouraging techies to come, work in the West of Ireland. Silicon Village includes hirelocker.la that offers free job adverts for Technology based companies.
