Today was D-Day for more than 1,300 Clare Leaving Cert students who got their results and started a new chapter in their lives. The exam helpline is available on 1800 265 165 and Gavin spoke about the service to Ross McMahon of the National Parents’ Council.

The issue of access to ATMs – and to adequate supplies of cash – in North and West Clare was the next topic for discussion. Gavin spoke to Ennistymon-based Senator Martin Conway who’s calling on the banks to provide better ATM services in the tourist season.

Caoimhín Ó Sé was Gavin’s next guest with his daily update on the Fleadh.

The show featured two special Fleadh packages – one on volunteering from Fiona Cahill; the other on Scoil Éigse from Fiona McGarry.

You can listen back to that Scoil Éigse feature below:

Staying with the theme of the Fleadh, Samaritans will be on hand with support for those who are lonely in the crowd. Gavin spoke to Alan Heron, Spokesperson for the Samaritans Irish Festival Group. Samaritans can be reached on 116 123. Listen back below:
