On today's Morning Focus with Gavin Grace

Reaction to Budget 2016 took place today. The budget for 2016 took place yesterday and we got the instant reactions of the people of Clare to the new budget. Deputies than also debated Budget 2016. Deputy Timmy Dooley, FF amd Deputy Pat Breen, FG discussed how Budget 2016 will affect the people of County Clare. Deputy Simon Coveney, Minister for Agriculture, also spoke with Gavin about the new budget.

Staying on topic, Alan Maher a Senior Manager of Taxation in the Limerick branch of Deloitte gave an analysis of Budget 2016.

There were also local reactions to the Budget, Michael Vaughan of Vaughans Lodge Lahinch and Andrew Dundas of Clare IFA gave their personal opinions on the matter.

 

Comedian Sonya Kelly is staring in How to Keep an Alien in Glor Thursday, October 15th. She spoke to Gavin about the show and what to expect. 

 

The Burren and has been crowned Ireland's 'Foodie Towns' 2015 in a competition run by the RAI. Each of the finalists received a visit by independent assessors and this – combined with a national online public voting campaign (which is coming to an end tomorrow) – determined the winners. Tina O'Dwyer from the Burren Food Trail & Geo Park Representative spoke to Gavin about the 'Foodie Towns' Finals with the Restaurant Association of Ireland.

 

Letters, Lives and Liberty – The Post Office in Ireland – The talk takes place on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock in the Old Ground. Stephen Ferguson the Assistant Secretary of An Post discussed the event on Morning Focus.
