Postmortems will be carried out today (Tue. Aug. 30) on father and mother Alan and Clodagh Hawe – and their three sons Liam, Niall and Ryan.

Newstalk's Richard Chambers spoke to Gavin from the scene.

This year's Rose of Tralee has not been without incident – from incursions onto the stage to controversial opinions from contestants.

Over the weekend, there was further debate as the Down Rose hit out at a documentary which followed the Roses through the selection process to the two-night contest in Tralee.

On the Rose of Tralee Facebook page, Fainche McCormack wrote about being "maniuplated, bullied and mistreated" in the course of the filming of 'The Road to the Dome'. She said neither she nor her "fellow Rose sisters" signed up for "a cheap reality television show in which our emotions would be manipulated for entertainment purposes". She also criticised the fact that one contestant was asked what colour underwear she was wearing just before she went on stage.

Gavin spoke to Ennis woman, Meghan Griffin, who was this year's Melbourne Rose.

Morning Focus then asked how long is too long to be a public representative in Dail Eireann. The debate followed the suggestion from a Junior Minister than TDs should only serve a maximum of two terms. According to Junior Minister Sean Canney, anything else is bad for politics. The minister of state with responsibility for the OPW says TDs don't have a “divine right” to a seat in Leinster House and, like the President of Ireland, should be capped so that new blood can enter the political arena. Gavin discussed the issue with two of Clare's former TD who served the county for extended periods – Tony Killeen, Former Clare FF TD (1992-2011) & Minister for Defence (2010-2011) and Madeline Taylor-Quinn Former Clare FG TD for a total period of more than 20 years

The topic of buying a car was among the issues discussed by Money Doctor, John Lowe, our Independent Financial Advisor
