On Tuesdays Morning Focus John speaks to Clooney man Johnnie O'Sullivan, brother of Donal missing in Sydney. Police in Sydney are searching for a Clareman missing in the city. 33 year old Donal O'Sullivan from Clooney was last seen on Saturday morning at around 10.30am on Bronte Road in Bondi Junction. His brother Johnnie and friends have been handing out pictures in a number of areas around the Eastern Suburbs. The family have also visited the Irish embassy in Sydney who are providing them with consular assistance.
Hurling legend Ger Loughnane and his Clarecastle neighbour Leonard McNamara are heading up a fundraising campaign to upgrade facilities in the Haematology/Oncology Unit in Limerick University Hospital & St. James' in Dublin. They spoke to John about the fundraising efforts. Support from the events will also go to Sláinte an Chláir in Kilnamona. The campaign is born out of the experiences of Ger and Leonard in those units and the needs of cancer patients undergoing treatment – it is as basic as the provision of internet, reasonably decent TVs, chairs etc. Please contact Leonard on 086 2204819 for more information.
