On Tuesdays Morning Focus John began by speaking to Dr Moosaje Bhamjee consultant psychiatrist and former Clare Labour TD as he has noticed an increasing number of young women in Clare using cannabis to relax through his work.

The Junior Agriculture Minister was in Clare yesterday to visit local food producers in the Burren region. Minister Tom Hayes has special responsibility for Food, Forestry, Horticulture and Food Safety in the Department of Agriculture and held on to that role in the recent Junior Cabinet Reshuffle as he had only assumed the role in 2013, following the tragic death of Minister Shane McEntee. On route to Lisdoonvarna and New Quay John met with Minister Hayes to hear about his role and his views on the issues facing farmers in Clare.
The GP Act passed on Thursday the 17th July which includes free GP care for under 6's. It also removes any gagging clause from being included in contracts with GP's. John spoke to Lahinch GP and Member of IMO GP committee Dr Michael Kelleher about the new act and got his thoughts on the new Minister for Health Leo Varadkar.

A nationwide cookery challenge has been launched by 'World Missions Ireland' as part of a drive to highlight its campaign to provide one million dinners for children in the developing world and promote its many mission projects. Missionary Children is its' dedicated children's charity and every cent raised under its fundraising division goes to children's projects in Africa, Asia and Oceania. John spoke to Jackie Pallas National Secretary of Missionary Children about the project and how the people of Clare can get involved.
