Morning Focus – Tuesday 14/11/17

The Tuesday edition of Morning Focus, Gavin spoke to Ind TD for Clare Dr Michael Harty about a major new report published this week claiming the health service needs an extra half a billion euro a year of transitional funding over 10 years.

Now, at the region’s main hospital, the ED overcrowding crisis seems to have hit early, with high numbers waiting for beds on successive days towards the end of October and the start of November. Chief Clinical Director at UHL, Professor Paul Burke joined Gavin on the line to speak about this:

Following this, Joe.co.uk writer Dion Fanning spoke about Saturday night’s clash in Copenhagen and tonight’s second leg clash against the Danes for our hopes of qualifying for the World Cup.
