Today’s Morning Focus was a special live debate as part of Clare FM's Local Election Countdown 2014. Part 1 of our Ennis area debates saw 14 candidates debate the most pressing issues affecting Clare residents.

All questions posed to the candidates were compiled from letters, emails, text messages and calls from Clare FM listeners in the run up to the debate.
Today’s debate topics included water charges, household charges, the health system unemployment and rates. Other issues raised included the retail sector and local amenities. The second part of our Ennis debate will be held on Tuesday 13th May.
The 27 candidates will fight it out for 8 seats.
