Morning Focus Thursday 19th June

On Thursdays Morning Focus John began by speaking to Michael Ryan, Chair of the board of management at Labasheeda National School and Grainne Marrinan, Principal at Moyasta  National School.  It had been expected that this September would see Labasheeda National School reduced to a one teacher unit while Moyasta was due to have two.  The change was down to a reduction in pupil numbers at both facilities. In recent months the Minister for Education had told Clare FM that each school would be dealt with on a case by case basis.  Labasheeda will now have two teachers at the start of the new term while Moyasta will have three.
