The show opened with a discussion with former Clare Senator Tony Mulcahy (FG). He gave Gavin his response to the enactment – after years of work – of the Domestic Violence Bill, 2017.

The show then heard from Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly who is calling on President Michael D Higgins to clarify whether or not he’ll run for another term as president.

Then, Gavin heard from the Irish Times Parliamentary Correspondent Michael O’Regan who worked at the Kerryman newspaper during the 1980s and who covered the Kerry Babies Tribunal.

Terry Fox of Cup Print in Ennis also joined Gavin on the show. He discussed new regulations on the banning of non-recyclable coffee cups and food packaging.

Cathy Jones, Head of Applied Social Sciences at LIT was Gavin’s next guest. She told Gavin about an exciting new education opportunity for mature students with disabilities who are taking an Advocacy, Leadership and Independent Living Skills programme with the college.

After that, Gavin heard from Nepal where Clodagh Helen of the Aillwee Cave and Birds of Prey Centre is lending a hand in saving wild birds. Listen back below:
