First on the show, Michael Harty independent TD for Clare was on the air to talk about questioning Simon Harris on some of his decisions as Minister of Health. They include the proposition of free smear tests following the cervical check scandal and of course the over-runs for the new National Children’s Hospital.
Next on the show, Gavin spoke to Aine Dempsey, Eleanor Dagnall Wise, Wiame Kinnane, Katie Duson and Kate Harty from Colaiste Muire about why they are demanding that Clare County Council take action against climate change. They have a list of eight demands that they presented to the local representatives at this week’s Council meeting. Listen back:
Then on the show, Dermot Cosgrove will undertake a trek in Iceland to raise money for the Irish Dogs for the disabledl later this year. He spoke to Clare FM’s Fiona McGarry about how the dogs are specially trained to support adults and children with disabilities. We also heard from Fianna Fáil Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy about the charity. Catch up below:

Then on the show, we heard from Mary McCullough who was telling us all about a big busking event coming to Ennis to raise money and celebrate 65 roses week. The organisation Up with People together with TLC4CF have put together this event which starts at the Temple Gate Hotel Courtyard on Saturday from 12.45-3.30pm.
Next, Clare Arts Officer Siobhán Mulcahy was in the studio to give us an arts update and telling us what’s on this week in Clare.
Lastly, Gavin spoke to comedian Deirdre O’Kane about her experience in the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars as well as watching this year’s series at home. Deirdre’s comedy gig ‘A Line of O’Kane’ is coming to glór, Ennis this Saturday at 8pm.
