‘The Woman Who Walked Across America’ is a 52minute bi-lingual documentary funded by TG4 and The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland exploring the heroic journey of Mary Devine who crossed America on foot with her four year old daughter during the 1860s in a desperate attempt to return home to West Kerry where she had emigrated from a number of years earlier
It is the work of a filmaking couple based in Ennistymon – Director John O’Donnell and Producer Jackie Larkin
They joined John in studio to talk about the story of strength, will-power and the ultimate survival of an Irish woman as uncovered through the personal discovery by her direct descendant, broadcaster and poet Danny Sheehy
The Woman Who Walked Across America will be broadcast this Wednesday at 9.30pm on TG4.

TLC4CF – the Cystic Fibrosis charity -is making progress with the building having been started – New CF Unit for young adults, to be complete by mid of 2014, all via fundraising and goodwill from the communities in the 3 counties
The 2013 cycle and run event "North Clare CF Cycle or Run" is taking place this coming Saturday in aid of Cystic Fibrosis
