Morning Focus Monday November 7

A national campaign against a ban on cutting turf on raised bogs was in West Clare last Thursday night. Deputy Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan met West Clare bog owners in Moyasta.  A public meeting has been organised by local turf cutters concerned about the future use of Tullagher Lough and Bog near Doonbeg which is included in the list of conservation areas covered by the new EU environmental regulations
Deputy Flanagan believes the offer should be rejected and say other Clare bogs will be included from 2013 under National Heritage Area legislation
ON Monday’s Morning Focus Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan TD, Independent from Roscommon and PRO of the Turfcutters’ Association spoke with John Cooke
