Minister Alex White  TD (LAB) Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources joined John this morning ahead of a public consultation on broadband  in Doolin today. The Minister is holding a public consultation on the proposed villages and town lands across rural Ireland to be included in the Government's investment Programme under the National Broadband Plan. Availability and reliability of broadband remains a major issue in Clare and throughout rural Ireland.

President Barack Obama has unveiled temporary measures allowing millions of illegal immigrants, including, it is estimated, thousands of Irish, to live and work in the US without the risk of being deported.The proposals include a relaxation of restrictions allowing qualifying Irish immigrants to travel between the US and Ireland, ending – for some – years of missing important family occasions.In the face of strong opposition from Republicans in Congress, Mr Obama is bypassing his political opponents with executive actions, lifting the threat of deportation for about five million illegal immigrants.Pat Breen TD FG, Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs spoke to us about the new measures and their significance for the undocumented Irish .

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny will officially open Genworth Financials new €15million Shannon based business centre which support the needs of over 9 million customers around the globe. 400 staff representing 17 countries and 16 languages will be based at the state of the art workplace. Bob Branock, President of International protection with Genworth outlined the developments with John.

As always on a Monday Sergeant Joe Downey joined John to discuss policing and crime issues which have arisen over the past week.

Mr Michael Noonan, TD, Minister for Finance, will officially launched Blood Bike Mid-West earlier today at the South Court Hotel, Limerick at 4pm.  Blood Bike Mid-West is a voluntary organisation providing free out of hours emergency transport, primarily by motorbike, of blood products, breast milk and medical records to the HSE, private hospitals, clinics and hospices.   Blood Bike Mid-West relies entirely on fundraising, voluntary contributions and donations to meet the basic operational costs of providing this service.  John Sheedy Director of Blood Bike Mid-West and Seamus Walsh a Blood Bike Operator spoke to John about the initiative. John got involved with blood bike following the death of his son Noel. Cratleo suffered a heart breaking deeat at the hands of Kilmallock in the Munster Club Hurling Final  yesterday, a game that will be remembered for some time to come.The full time score, after extra time, of Kilmallock 1-32 Cratloe 3-18 does nothing to reflect the true nature of the contest as both sides served up an amazing display of courage, steel and skill. The Limerick men excelled in the added period, and after the first ten minutes, they led by 1-27 to 3-18, a three point lead. Cratloe failed to register a score in the final ten minutes, while Kilmallock hit five to ensure they would be crowned kings of Munster on full time score of Kilmallock 1-32 Cratloe 3-18.Syl  O'Conner , Clare FM Match Commentator and Jim Enright PRO of Cratleo spoke to us about Cratleo loss and amazing year.
