Says the treaty represents an important step forward for Ireland and for Europe
It is a common set of rules that the members of the Euro-zone and eight other countries have agreed to in terms of balanced budgets to support the currency
If  we ratify the treaty it gives us access to a permanent funding facility if we need it

Pat Breen TD, Fine Gael

Says vote Yes for stability and a Yes vote will also crucially ensure that we have access to additional funding if we need it to run the country in the future

Advocating for a No vote:

Declan Ganley, Libertas Founder and Chairman, businessman and entrepreneur

He maintains that Ireland and Europe need a better deal – or at least a deal that has some faint prospect of actually working
To accept anything less would be an historic error for which our children would not forgive us- they say ‘cut the bank debt or no deal’

Gerard Leahy, Kilrush native and chartered accountant

He ran Kilrush firm for 30 years, he is also an accredited mediator and author
Activist behind www.leavetheeurovoteno.com
He says a No vote will force us to leave the euro and this would return the country to the path of economic growth and solvency.

The YES and NO campaigners have been equally vocal in the media, but what is the general mood of people on the street, and has any one side edged ahead as we approach the final few days?
Clare Fm’s Cliona Wilmott took to the streets of Ennis to ask that question.
